JOB DESCRIPTION

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  1. Project Cost Estimation:
  2. Review solar PV system designs (rooftop and ground-mount) to prepare detailed cost breakdowns.
  3. Estimate expenses for materials (panels, inverters, mounting structures, wiring), labor, subcontracting, and logistics.

  4. Validate costs using the current supplier quotation in coordination with the procurement team

  5. Design Optimization & Cost Efficiency

  6. Collaborate with Project and Design engineers to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality and safety.
  7. Check and recommend alternative materials or design adjustments to enhance affordability.

  8. With coordination with the procurement team, suggest value engineering principles to optimize project economics.

  9. Bill of Materials (BOM) & Quantity Assessment:

  10. Extract and verify material quantities from engineering drawings and specifications.

  11. Ensure accurate cost allocation for all components, including electrical balance of system (BOS) and civil works.

  12. Bid & Tender Support:

  13. Assist in bid preparation by providing competitive cost estimates.
  14. Track cost variations due to design changes.
