Dean's Responsibilities:

Responsible for the strategic leadership of the particular undergraduate college

Responsible for the management of or the execution of actions and processes that will promote the value system of the university, and creating and maintaining effective communication with students.

Responsible for the effective and appropriate implementation within the faculty of the research policy and strategy of the University thereby establishing a sound research culture in the faculty.

Develop and supervise curricula, courses, methods of instruction, examinations , and grading practices, in conformity with such requirements as may be stipulated by the appropriate government regulatory authorities, and subject further to the prior approval of the President where deemed necessary by the latter.

See to it that  the policies concerning student achievement and deficiencies are carried out; approve students for degree and in general supervise the academic welfare of students

Manage the program accreditation/ quality assurance.

Responsible for the effective and appropriate implementation of the research policy and strategy of the University.

Maintaining the high quality of faculty line up as reflected in the student satisfaction survey results.

Preside at faculty meetings whenever necessary.

10.   Prepare and keep up- to- date the Faculty Manual and assist the Vice President for the Academic Affairs in supervising all official publications of the College

11.   Prepare and submit the annual and semestral budgets of the Department

Operational Matters:

Responsible for  effective implementation of the Human Resources plan and strategy of the University which include the management and execution of actions and process to maintain accepted performance standards, foster and maintain sound personnel and professional relationship among the staff, faculty and clients and submit recommendations to the president through the Vice President for Academic Affairs, on top performers in the Faculty for performance rewards

Recruit, when necessary, and interview and recommend to the president for the appointment, competent faculty replacements and additions, and similar to recommend the termination of faculty which have been found wanting in competence and teaching ability.

Exercise general supervision over the faculty and student body, and be concerned with the efficient operation of the Division

Review schedule of classes prepared by EDP to make sure there is a balanced student class schedules.

Prepare the academic calendar of the College, collect the material and prepare the College catalogue for publication

Manage service to the community as an integrated part of the teaching and research activities of the faculty.
