Job Summary:
The Line Cook 1 is an experienced kitchen professional specializing in Japanese cuisine. This role requires strong technical cooking skills, consistency in preparation, and the ability to mentor junior kitchen staff. The Line Cook 1 ensures food is prepared according to authentic Japanese standards and maintains high quality under pressure.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working in Japanese restaurants.
- Strong knowledge of Japanese cooking techniques (sushi, sashimi, tempura, teppanyaki, ramen, etc.).
- Ability to manage a specific kitchen station independently.
- Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
- Strong teamwork, time management, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with Japanese standards.
- Oversee one or more kitchen stations (e.g., grill, fry, sushi).
- Train and mentor Line Cook 2 and 3 in proper techniques and standards.
- Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
- Assist in menu development, specials, and new recipes.
- Monitor food inventory, assist in ordering, and minimize waste.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php17, Php21,000.00 per month
