The Regional Merchandising Analyst is responsible for overseeing merchandise planning and inventory strategies across Singapore and Malaysia. The role ensures the right product is available in the right location, at the right time, while supporting regional business growth through data-driven planning and market-relevant assortments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Merchandise Planning & Replenishment

  • Develop seasonal merchandise plans aligned with sales targets and budget in coordination with the local brand manager and the Regional Brand Manager
  • Manage OTB (Open-to-Buy) and ensure proper buy levels across countries.
  • Monitor sell-through rates and initiate timely replenishment to maximize sales and reduce stockouts.
  • Coordinate with local brand teams and local operations to balance supply and demand.

Assortment and Inventory Management

  • Define regional assortment strategies tailored to market differences while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Review performance of key categories and identify assortment gaps or opportunities.
  • Oversee regional inventory flow, ensuring optimal stock allocation across countries.
  • Manage slow-moving and aged inventory with clear action plans (markdowns, transfers, promotions).
  • Set inventory KPIs (turns, WOS, sell-through) and track performance across markets.

Data Analysis, Reporting, Market Inputs

  • Generate weekly and monthly sales and inventory reports for management.
  • Provide actionable insights using data trends, sell-through performance, and productivity analysis.
  • Build demand forecasts based on historical sales, seasonality, and external factors.
  • Incorporate local market feedback (consumer preferences, competitor moves, mall performance, tourist flows) together with the local brand manager
  • Partner with operations and brand teams to integrate qualitative insights into buy plans.
  • Ensure product strategies remain relevant to evolving customer needs and regional retail dynamics.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, Financial Management, Clothing Technology  or other related courses
  • New graduates are acceptable but preferably with 2-3 years work experience
  • Strong Oral and Written Communication in English
  • Analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or BI tools.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management principles.
  • Ability to balance data-driven insights with on-the-ground market realities.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across cross-functional and cross-country teams.
