Join Asiatel Outsourcing and be part of a team that values accuracy, collaboration, and professional growth We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to manage day-to-day financial operations and support our accounting team in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payment processing.

The ideal candidate has experience working with Canadian accounting standards and demonstrates a strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes, vendor management, and financial recordkeeping.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure timely posting in the accounting system.
  • Review and match invoices with supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper approval.
  • Prepare payment batches and assist in processing electronic fund transfers (EFTs).
  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues promptly.
  • Support the month-end and year-end closing process through AP reporting and reconciliations.
  • Maintain strong communication with vendors, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with ASPE and Canadian accounting standards.
  • Use accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), CaseWare, and Excel to manage data and reports.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
  • Prior exposure to Canadian accounting practices or working with Canadian clients is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Availability to work within 7 AM to 2 PM Vancouver time schedule.
