Accounts Payable Clerk

Join Asiatel Outsourcing and be part of a team that values accuracy, collaboration, and professional growth We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to manage day-to-day financial operations and support our accounting team in ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant payment processing.
The ideal candidate has experience working with Canadian accounting standards and demonstrates a strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes, vendor management, and financial recordkeeping.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process, verify, and reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure timely posting in the accounting system.
- Review and match invoices with supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and proper approval.
- Prepare payment batches and assist in processing electronic fund transfers (EFTs).
- Reconcile vendor statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve billing issues promptly.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing process through AP reporting and reconciliations.
- Maintain strong communication with vendors, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ASPE and Canadian accounting standards.
- Use accounting software such as QuickBooks Online (QBO), CaseWare, and Excel to manage data and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
- Prior exposure to Canadian accounting practices or working with Canadian clients is an advantage.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setup and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work within 7 AM to 2 PM Vancouver time schedule.
