Job Title: Deployment / L1.5 Support Engineer – Lower Environments

Location: Ortigas/Hybrid

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Deployment / L1.5 Support Engineer to manage application deployments, patching, and environment support activities in non-production (lower) environments such as Dev, QA, UAT, and SIT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in deployments, basic system administration, and troubleshooting across application, infrastructure, and database layers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute environment setup, refresh, and deployment activities.
  • Handle application patching and deployments across lower environments.
  • Ensure configuration and version alignment across applications and infrastructure components.
  • Track and manage environment availability with minimal downtime during test cycles.
  • Act as the first point of contact (L1.5 support) for environment-related incidents.
  • Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams.
  • Maintain documentation for environment configurations, deployment processes, and known issues.
  • Log and track support tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation.

Required Skills:

  • Basic Linux and Windows administration.
  • Scripting skills in Shell or PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (execution level).
  • Basic administration and troubleshooting for at least one database (Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of stored procedures and database objects.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and a process-driven mindset.
  • Interest in automation and process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in IT support, deployment engineering, or system administration roles.
  • Prior experience supporting non-prod environments or release management is a plus.
