We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and implement data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. The role involves building data pipelines, developing data marts, and ensuring alignment with established data architecture and engineering standards. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise in the Azure data ecosystem and experience in enterprise-level data projects.

Scope of Work / Responsibilities:

  • Support the design and implementation of scalable and efficient data architecture solutions.
  • Extract data from various online and offline sources using appropriate data ingestion methods.
  • Build stable, high-performing data marts that meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines that load and transform data according to defined data models.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment of data solution components.
  • Leverage Azure tools and technologies such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure SQL Databases, and Power BI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.
  • Ensure all solutions adhere to internal data governance, architecture, and software engineering standards.
  • Participate in the project lifecycle, completing required documentation and technical artefacts.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer or Developer, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Proven experience with data technologies such as SQL, Power BI, and Python.
  • Strong background in Azure DevOps and the Azure Data ecosystem, including:
  • Azure Data Factory
  • Azure Data Lake
  • Databricks
  • Azure Blob Storage
  • Azure SQL Databases
  • Power BI
  • Experience in data mart development and data modeling.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with IT and business teams to develop and deploy solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience working within ITIL and/or Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing infrastructure and deployment automation scripts for Azure environments.
  • Relevant Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-900, DP-900, or higher).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php150, Php200,000.00 per month
