Job Description

As a Digital Financial Analyst, you will manage profit statements, review contracts, analyze financial data, and provide actionable insights to leadership. This role blends accounting precision with strategic impact, giving you the chance to support high-level decisions in a fast-paced, global environment.

Job Overview

Employment type: Full-time

Shift: Night Shift, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central Time (semi-flexible/fixed shift)

Work setup: Temporary WFH, Makati (on-site only for business continuity, e.g., internet/power outages)

The Qualifications We Seek

• Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2-5+ years of relevant experience required

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel knowledge including formulas, pivot tables, and large data manipulation
• Intermediate Excel and financial information systems experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Core Skills

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, facilitation, oral, and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail with accuracy and problem-solving focus
• Ability to follow through until issues are fully resolved
• Ability to work under minimal supervision, independently, or as part of a project team
• Ability to multitask and prioritize workload under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Must escalate appropriate issues to management in a timely fashion

Key Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Excellent communication skills: clear, professional, and confident when interacting with senior stakeholders and business teams
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and accountability to meet deadlines and ensure accuracy in high-visibility reports
• Excel proficiency: Intermediate+ (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
• Solid understanding of financial statements and basic income statement analysis

Preferred (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience reviewing or interpreting contracts (esp. digital media or podcast)
• Prior exposure to digital/podcast cost analysis
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft (current ERP) or Workday (transitioning in the new year; training provided)

Your Daily Tasks

Team & Role Context

• Support the Digital Audio Group, covering both Digital (apps, streaming) and Podcasts
• Handle entry-level and mid-level statements across podcast and digital reporting
• Review and analyze financial data, spot trends, and flag discrepancies
• Prepare timely and accurate reports for quarter-end and month-end close activities
• Manage inquiries from the Digital Audio Group inbox by researching issues and routing/responding appropriately
• Collaborate with internal teams, senior leadership (up to COO and SVPs), and finance leaders with professionalism and precision

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Podcast Profit Statements & Compliance
• Prepare profit statements for internal and third-party talent in compliance with US GAAP and company policies
• Review podcast agreements to ensure statements align with contractual obligations
• Deliver timely and accurate profit statements to podcast talents in collaboration with operations teams
• Financial Analysis & Reporting
• Partner with market finance to provide insights for decision-making
• Perform P&L analysis and general ledger account reviews
• Follow key controls to ensure SOX compliance
• Systems & Tools
• Use appropriate financial systems and tools to input data, generate reports, and conduct reconciliations for review
• Conduct specialized research projects and respond to financial inquiries
• Ensure proper control, recording, and classification of financial transactions
• Issue Escalation & Projects
• Identify and escalate financial issues to management when necessary
• Manage and participate in special projects or support tasks as assigned
