What You'll Bring to the Table

• Adobe Commerce Expertise: 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years in Magento 2/Adobe Commerce. Strong skills in back-end and front-end development, module customisation, and performance tuning.
• Modern Front-End & Headless: Proven experience in implementing PWA/headless commerce architectures. Familiarity with Magento front-end frameworks such as Hyvä themes and technologies like AMP to enhance performance and mobile experience.
• AI & Personalisation: Solid understanding of AI-driven eCommerce features. Hands-on experience with Adobe Sensei (or similar ML frameworks), Algolia or other AI-powered search platforms, and personalisation of content or pricing using real-time data.
• Systems Integration: Strong track record in integrating eCommerce platforms with third-party services (payment processors, ERP/CRM, shipping logistics, CMS, marketing tools). Ability to design robust and maintainable integration workflows using APIs, webhooks, and middleware.
• High-Performance Architecture: Ability to design scalable systems for high traffic. Knowledge of database optimisation, caching strategies, cloud infrastructure, and clustering for fault tolerance. Experience with monitoring and profiling tools to maintain optimal performance.
• Agile & CI/CD Proficiency: Experience in agile teams with proficiency in CI/CD tools and automation to enable rapid development cycles. Familiarity with DevOps practices and containerisation is an advantage.
• Leadership & Communication: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset. Ability to mentor developers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Passion for innovation and continuous learning in eCommerce technology.

What You'll Do

• Lead Platform Development: Architect and implement the next-generation Adobe Commerce platform, including a headless Progressive Web App (PWA) front end for a fast, app-like user experience. Incorporate modern frameworks to ensure a mobile-first, lightning-fast site.
• Integrate AI & Personalisation: Use advanced AI technologies (Adobe Sensei AI, Algolia AI Search) to build intelligent features such as personalised product recommendations, predictive search, and dynamic, real-time pricing strategies tailored to each customer.
• Manage Third-Party Integrations: Integrate and optimise critical third-party systems including payment gateways, ERP systems, analytics, and marketing automation tools to ensure seamless data flow and a unified customer experience.
• Design Scalable Architecture: Create and maintain a scalable, high-performance architecture for heavy traffic and rapid growth. Apply best practices for site speed, security, and reliability (caching, CDN, load balancing) to ensure flawless performance during peak loads.
• Drive Agile Collaboration & DevOps: Lead an agile development process with iterative sprints. Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment. Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with front-end, UX, and DevOps teams to ensure smooth delivery of high-quality code.
