About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to support a U.S.-based family law practice. This is a part-time, remote role, ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional based in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of legal support experience and be fluent in English, tech-savvy, and capable of handling day-to-day legal administrative tasks independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote support for family law matters (filings, calendaring, case tracking, client follow-ups)

  • Draft, edit, and organize legal documents

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries

  • Maintain case management systems (e.g., MyCase, Docketwise)

  • Manage communication with clients, courts, and third parties

  • Assist with scheduling, deadlines, and general admin tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal

  • Strong English fluency (written and spoken)

  • Tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn and use legal software

  • Familiarity with MyCase and Docketwise is a plus, but not mandatory

  • Experience in family law preferred; California family law experience is a strong advantage, and will be compensated accordingly
