What is the role
As a Senior Wireless Network Engineer, you'll take the lead on a high-impact migration project, transitioning a campus-wide wireless infrastructure from Cisco to Juniper Mist within a global enterprise setting. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on expertise, overseeing daily operations, mentoring wireless engineers, and ensuring high-performing network infrastructure. Strong proficiency in Juniper Mist and Fortinet firewalls is required.

This is a
21-month contract position
.

Other duties and responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

• Lead architecture, deployment, and optimization of Juniper Mist wireless systems
• Use Mist AI and Marvis to drive proactive performance enhancements
• Supervise and coordinate a team of wireless engineers to meet project milestones and performance KPIs
• Oversee Fortinet firewall configurations and wireless edge security integration
• Conduct advanced wireless site surveys and RF planning for multi-site deployments
• Document topologies, wireless heat maps, policies, and troubleshooting procedures
• Collaborate with network security, systems, and cloud teams to ensure secure wireless access

• 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM EST

Who we are looking for
Successful candidate must possess:

Experience:

• 7–10 years in enterprise wireless network engineering in both Cisco Wireless and Juniper Mist.
• 5+ years working with Juniper Mist wireless solutions.
• 1–3 years of hands-on Fortinet firewall deployments.
• Proven leadership/supervisory experience managing wireless engineers.

Certifications:

• Mandatory: Juniper Mist Certified Specialist (or equivalent).
• Preferred: CWNP, CCNP Wireless, JNCIP-ENT, or similar vendor certifications.
• Bonus: Fortinet Firewall Familiarity.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of standards, RF design, and wireless security protocols.
• Hands-on experience with Mist dashboard, Marvis, and AI-driven optimization.
• FortiOS policy development, threat response, and Wi-Fi integration.
• Experience with Python, APIs, and automation frameworks for wireless analytics.
• Secure guest access, NAC, and identity-based wireless segmentation.
• Strong documentation and wireless operations playbook development.
