About the role

Arvin International Marketing Inc. is seeking an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to oversee the operations of our warehouse facility in Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo. This full-time position will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of our warehouse and distribution activities in the Visayas region.

What you'll be doing

  • Directing and coordinating the daily activities of the warehouse team to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
  • Implementing best practices in inventory management, stock control, and warehouse operations
  • Optimizing warehouse layout and workflows to maximize productivity and space utilization
  • Overseeing the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods, including the supervision of loading and unloading and receiving of items during Vessel Operations
  • Monitoring and analyzing key performance metrics or KPI to identify areas for improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Developing and leading a high-performing team of warehouse personnel, including training, coaching, and performance management
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to align warehouse activities with business objectives

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse management or senior logistics role, preferably within the warehousing, transport, or distribution industries
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management principles, including inventory control, space utilization, and workflow optimization
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills to identify and implement process improvements
  • Proficient in the use of warehouse management systems and other relevant software
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in the warehousing industry
