Job Description:

The Web Guys NZ, a leading digital marketing agency, is seeking an experienced, senior-level SEO Specialist to join our growing team. As a senior SEO Specialist, you will work closely with our clients to develop and execute effective SEO strategies that increase their online visibility, traffic, and revenue.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of background in SEO or significant senior-level experience with a strong understanding of search engine algorithms, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive SEO audits to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored strategies for clients.
• Perform keyword research to identify high-traffic, low-competition keywords to target in client campaigns.
• Develop on-page optimization strategies, including optimizing website content, meta tags, and internal linking structures.
• Create and execute off-page optimization strategies, including link building, guest blogging, and influencer outreach.
• Monitor and report on website traffic, search engine rankings, and other key metrics to track the success of client campaigns.
• Collaborate with other team members, including content writers and web developers, to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into all client projects.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithms, and best practices, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Attend and participate in regular and ad hoc meetings with fellow team members, the Lead SEO and the wider team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in SEO, or significant senior-level experience with a proven track record of developing and executing successful SEO strategies.
• Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
• Experience with SEO tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for digital marketing and staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices.
