Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of billing and receivables specialists.
  • Set clear goals and KPIs; monitor team performance against targets.
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, team meetings, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a high-performance, customer-centric team culture.

Billing & Receivables Operations:

  • Ensure timely, accurate invoicing in line with service agreements and contract terms.
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and reduce aged receivables through proactive follow-ups and escalation.
  • Oversee credit control activities and customer account reconciliations.
  • Serve as escalation point for complex billing or receivables queries.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal controls.

Oracle System & Reporting:

  • Use Oracle ERP (preferred) for billing operations, account monitoring, and reporting.
  • Ensure data consistency and completeness in the billing system.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements.
  • Process & Performance Improvement
  • Identify and address process inefficiencies and gaps in billing and AR.
  • Review workflows, aging reports, and issue logs to reduce cycle time and improve accuracy.
  • Lead or support finance transformation initiatives, including automation or ERP improvements.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in billing and receivables, with 2+ years in a team leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes, billing cycles, and credit control.
  • Proven experience using Oracle ERP or similar enterprise-level finance systems (Oracle preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in a shared services or managed service environment is a plus.
