
Distribution Center Assistant

The Distribution Center Assistant provides support in the day-to-day operations of the distribution center, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching of goods. Reporting to the Distribution Center Supervisor, the role ensures the accurate and timely movement of inventory in accordance with company standards and operational requirements. This position helps maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment while ensuring efficiency and accuracy in inventory handling and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving incoming deliveries and checking them against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Label, sort, and properly store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Ensures proper communication with vendor for smooth receiving flow.
- Conduct physical counts to support cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, and stock audits.
- Help maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system or manual logs.
- Checks receiving documents (i.e.: PO, Sales Invoice and Delivery Receipt) for correct details.
- Ensures that everything was documented especially returned/backloaded items in case of alterations.
- Assist in monitoring stock levels and report any discrepancies, damages, or near-expiry items.
- Comply with warehouse safety protocols, equipment handling procedures, and company policies.
- Support other warehouse-related activities as assigned by the Distribution Center Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any 4-year Business course, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field is an advantage.
- At least 1 year of experience in warehouse or logistics operations, preferably in a retail environment.
- Familiarity with inventory handling procedures and warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, scanners).
- Basic computer skills; experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Physically fit and able to lift, move, or carry heavy items as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and recording data.
- Good teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Willing to work on a shifting schedule and in a fast-paced environment.
Work Arrangement:
- Monday to Friday (Shifting Schedule)
- Located in Lopez Jaena St. Brgy. Jesus Dela Peña, Manila Bay Spinning Mills, Marikina City.
