We are looking for an experienced Civil Engineer responsible in delivering high quality civil engineering designs and documentation for reference, mining urban and land development projects ensuring compliance with Australian standards and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Civil Team Lead, this position will involve but not be limited to the following duties:

  • Preparing conceptual and detailed designs (earthworks, erosion & sediment control, road infrastructure, drainage, sewerage & water networks for Defence, mining, urban and land development projects)
  • Interpret civil design requirements of Federal, State and Local Government Authorities and private sector clients
  • Engage with clients to address project requirements, ensuring the delivery of expert and high-quality service
  • Collaborate with Engineers and Project Managers to reach project milestones
  • Liaise and coordinate designs with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical, mechanical and landscaping
  • Ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance (QA) and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) standards
  • Design management for medium and large projects including coordination with clients and tracking of schedule and delivery.
  • Assistance in preparing proposals and bids.

  • Prepare engineering calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and specifications.

  • Coordinate with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely and quality delivery of projects,

  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and investigations

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • A minimum of five years of Australian civil engineering experience.
  • Civil 3D and AutoCAD proficiency
  • Project Experience: Exposure to Defence, Mining and/or Industrial projects
  • Software: Experience in 12D, Storm CAD or advanced civil tools
  • Design Exposure: Water, sewer and stormwater systems for industrial/urban site.

  • Documentation: Familiarity with design reporting and client-side submissions

  • Proven experience in contributing to the delivery of civil projects

  • Strong knowledge of Australian, State and local government standards for roadworks, stormwater drainage, water and wastewater design.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and team collaborator.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Sector Exposure: Urban land development or bulk earthworks
  • Compliance: Strong QA/WHS awareness and adherence

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Civil Engineering or any related field.
  • More than five years of Australian design experience.
