Accounting Analyst (WFH)

Job Description:

Month-End Close & Reporting:

  • Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments as part of the monthly close.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

General Ledger & Daily Accounting Operations:

  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by managing daily accounting activities including reconciliations, expense tracking, and various analysis.
  • Support the review of balance sheet and P&L accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy.

Audit & Compliance:

  • Prepare schedules and provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and IFRS standards.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting and reporting processes, enhance automation, and improve efficiency through better use of existing systems and tools.

Ad Hoc Analysis & Projects:

  • Conduct financial analyses and assist in special projects that support strategic business initiatives and management decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field.
  • 2+ years of relevant accounting experience; manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close processes.
  • Demonstrated initiative to ask questions, learn quickly, and drive process improvement.
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and work according to established schedules.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a collaborative team mindset.
