Job Title: Finance Documentation & Content Specialist (Freelance)

We're looking for a Finance Documentation & Content Specialist to help capture, document, and package our finance and accounting workflows into clear, easy-to-follow materials. The goal is to turn complex financial processes into practical learning tools, from written SOPs to visual explainers, for our internal bookkeeping and analyst teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with our finance and accounting team to understand real workflows and translate them into structured documentation.
  • Create clear SOPs, process maps, and checklists that reflect real operational steps.
  • Develop training materials in various formats — written guides, visuals, and short explainer clips when needed.
  • Use annotated screenshots and examples to make content more engaging and easier to understand.
  • Organize and maintain all materials in ClickUp and shared drives for easy access.

Requirements:

  • 2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, instructional design, or process documentation.
  • Background in Finance, Accounting, or FP&A — familiarity with tools like QBO, Xero, or Google Sheets is a big plus.
  • Experience as an Instructional Designer, Technical Writer, or Process Documentation Specialist.
  • Proven ability to develop SOPs and structured training materials.
  • Comfortable using different media (text, visuals, short videos) to communicate processes.
  • Familiarity with Google Docs/Sheets, ClickUp, Loom, or Descript.
  • Strong attention to detail and a knack for simplifying complex information.

  • Occasional short explainer videos or annotated screen recordings (when suitable).
