We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Android Developer (Java) with a strong background in Android development and demonstrated project leadership experience (3 to 5 years). This role requires deep technical expertise, the ability to read and execute from detailed specifications, and a solid understanding of Scrum methodologies. Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, and Geofencing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, development, and deployment of Android applications using Java/Kotlin.
  • Work on system features involving Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), NFC, Geofencing, and sensor integrations.
  • Understand the Clean Architecture Pattern and MVVM
  • Understand and implement based on detailed technical documentation/specifications.
  • Take ownership of complex modules and provide architectural and development guidance to team members.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and maintainability of the mobile application.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owner, and QA teams in a Scrum environment.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve the codebase.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Android development.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java for Android.
  • Strong knowledge or at least familiar with:

Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)

NFC

Geofencing APIs

Restful APIs

  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality Android applications to production.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed specifications and convert them into working solutions.
  • Familiarity with Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, RESTful APIs, and common development tools (Git, Android Studio, Gradle).

Nice to have:

  • Swift and Kotlin Programming.
  • Scrum Master certification or equivalent Agile training.
  • Experience mentoring developers or managing small Android teams.
  • Solid grasp of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
