Role Summary

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our Finance team. The role supports the financial operations of three related legal entities within the Two Good Group, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting, payroll, and reporting functions. This position plays a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting month-end processes, and assisting with statutory lodgements and audits.

Key Responsibilities

Core Accounting and Bookkeeping

  • Maintain accurate accounting records in Xero for multiple entities (Foundation, Pty Ltd, and VX).
  • Prepare and process journals, intercompany adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure proper coding, cost allocation, and documentation across departments and projects.
  • Manage month-end accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.

Accounts Payable (Lightyear)

  • Oversee Lightyear AP workflow, including invoice entry, coding, approval routing, and posting to Xero.
  • Coordinate supplier payments and reconcile supplier statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Payroll and Compliance

  • Process weekly payroll using Tanda integrated with Xero, including onboarding, terminations, and leave management.
  • Prepare and lodge IAS and BAS returns in compliance with ATO requirements.
  • Reconcile superannuation, PAYG withholding, and other payroll-related accounts.

Month-End Close and Reporting

  • Assist in preparing month-end financial statements and management reports.
  • Support intercompany eliminations, deferred income schedules, and audit documentation.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliations and financial records to ensure compliance.

Finance Administration and Support

  • Provide administrative and analytical support to the Head of Finance.
  • Assist with grant acquittals, system improvements, and other finance-related projects.
  • Support broader finance operations and serve as backup for key functions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping (multi-entity experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in Xero, Lightyear, Tanda, and Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Experience with weekly payroll processing and statutory lodgements (IAS/BAS).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable

  • CPA or CA qualification.
  • Experience in hospitality, catering, or social enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with Cin7 Omni, Weel, and Joiin reporting tools.
  • Understanding of intercompany accounting and grant funding frameworks.
