Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT operations, troubleshooting, and support within a professional environment. The ideal candidate will assist the IT department with day-to-day operations, technical support, system maintenance, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to staff regarding hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Install, configure, and update hardware and software systems
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Help with troubleshooting issues and outages
  • Support IT team in documenting processes and maintaining IT documentation
  • Assist in setting up new user accounts, workstations, and peripheral devices
  • Maintain inventory of IT assets and ensure accurate records
  • Participate in IT-related projects and initiatives

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field

Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
  • Familiarity with Windows operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and take on challenges
  • Detail-oriented with good organizational skills

Preferred (but not required):

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Active Directory, or basic networking concepts
  • Knowledge of IT ticketing systems
  • Previous internship or technical support experience

Duration:

  • Typically 3–6 months (can vary based on academic calendar)

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time or full-time, depending on availability and school schedule
