JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Responsible for the planning, estimating, and implementing capital expenditure (capex) projects, including pipelaying, infrastructure improvements, and regulatory compliance.
  2. Close coordination with contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects meet company standards, stay on schedule and remain within budget.
  3. Evaluate contractor performance and assist the Branch Manager in technical and environmental compliance matters.

SKILL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • A Professional License Holder is an advantage.
  • With at least 2 years of experience in project management, monitoring, and estimation.
  • Proficient in preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for capex projects (e.g., pipelaying, and infrastructure improvements).
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, standards, and safety regulations related to water distribution, construction, and infrastructure projects.
  • Ability to oversee contractors and subcontractors to ensure work is executed according to project standards, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set clear deadlines, and ensure timely project completion.
  • Ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to contractors, the Branch Manager, and other stakeholders.
  • Skilled in addressing contractor disputes diplomatically and resolving issues on-site, maintaining positive working relationships.
  • Ability to draft clear and accurate project reports, delay notices, compliance documentation, and performance evaluations.
  • Commitment to upholding company standards and taking responsibility for project outcomes, whether successful or in need of improvement.
  • Willingness to travel across the country to different branch locations as needed to oversee project implementations and inspections.
