Job Description

As a Junior AP Accountant, you will support day-to-day accounts payable operations by ensuring accurate invoice processing, timely vendor payments, and organized financial records. Working closely with senior team members, you'll help maintain compliance, meet reporting deadlines, and keep financial workflows running smoothly.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • At least 1 year of accounting or accounts payable experience
  • Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Office
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Strong willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
  • A mindset that reflects community values: ownership, continuous improvement, and respect for people

Your Daily Tasks

  • Provide invoice coding support for assigned properties to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Monitor personal inbox and respond promptly to vendor inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and reconcile vendor account statements
  • Support weekly payment operations by preparing payment run files every Tuesday by 12 PM EST and posting recap summaries every Thursday in designated property FAA Teams channels
  • Monitor workflow progress by running weekly reports on invoices in active approval queues and following up on items pending for more than five days
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
