About the Role

As a CAD (AutoCAD) Operator, you will create and manage complex security system layouts. You'll handle project documentation, produce accurate take-offs, and collaborate with internal teams using AutoCAD, , Dynamics 365, and SharePoint.

Ideal Candidate (Must Have Requirements)

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CAD Operator, preferably in security systems (CCTV, Access Control, Intercom).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, including working with Xrefs, layers, and blocks.

• Experience using , SharePoint, and Dynamics 365 for project tracking and documentation.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Teams).

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce accurate designs.

• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with clients and internal teams.

• Employee work set-up will be dependent on the client's discretion

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Use for tracking AutoCAD drawings and tenders.

• Download and organize tender documentation for proposal setup.

• Create and manage project tender entries in Dynamics 365 and SharePoint.

• Generate take-offs and prepare cost estimates in Excel.

• Read, evaluate, and interpret technical drawings and designs.

• Draft complex integrated security layouts and schematics for CCTV, Access Control, and Intercom Systems.

• Utilize architectural Xrefs to declutter and overlay security drawings neatly.

• Maintain project-specific title blocks and update Xrefs based on workflow.

• Produce and format CAD files into PDFs with specific plot styles.

• Ensure quality compliance in CAD drawings using layers, blocks, groups, and colors.

• Modify and redesign drawings based on markups, hand sketches, and specifications.

• Prepare as-built drawings based on redline markups.

• Manage project files efficiently on shared platforms like Dropbox, Aconex, and SharePoint.

• Identify potential design issues and implement improvements.

• Communicate effectively with clients while handling critical information securely.

• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
