The Corporate Compliance Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the organization adheres to external laws and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, preventing financial penalties, legal violations, and reputational damage.  You will be responsible for monitoring and reporting results of the compliance efforts of the company, and provide guidance regarding the management of compliance issues.  Your contributions will be crucial in safeguarding our reputation by diligently ensuring that our company adheres to related guidelines.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drafting, reviewing, and updating internal compliance policies to ensure alignment with external legal requirements and ethical standards.
  • Identifying potential risks of non-compliance and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Act as main point of contact in coordinating with external compliance agencies addressing internal requirements
  • Conducting regular internal audits and monitoring company processes to identify any violations or areas for improvement.
  • Informing and training employees on compliance guidelines, relevant legal changes, and the importance of adherence to company policies.
  • Communicating with management about the organization's compliance status and potential risks.
  • Acting as a point of contact and advisor between different departments, senior management, and external regulatory bodies when necessary.
  • Ensuring the company complies with the relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory framework of various government agencies, to maintain the legality and integrity of the business operations.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing the organization's compliance programs, conducting audits, and monitoring for non-compliance.
  • Advising and adapting the business on evolving industry trends and regulatory requirements.

Essential Skills

A graduate of bachelor's degree preferably in business management, laws, or administration.

Practical experience gained as a Paralegal or compliance officer.

Knowledgeable in areas such as, anti-money laundering (AML), data protection, KYC or specific industry regulations will be highly beneficial.

Must have gaming background (online or land-based)

PAGCOR experience is not required

The ability to analyze complex information, identify risks, and develop effective solutions.

A meticulous approach to reviewing policies, processes, and documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.

The capacity to make sound advice and decisions considering legal implications and drive compliance across the organization.

An analytical mind able to "see" and "forecast" the complexities of procedures and regulations.

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Professional compliance certification is highly recommended.
