About Us
Our client leverages a signature in-house experiential methodology designed to transform how leaders, teams, and individuals connect and ideate. Through immersive experiential sessions, advisory services, and keynote speaking engagements, our client partners with corporations, government entities, institutions, and organizations seeking innovative leadership development and inclusion solutions.
We are seeking a Senior Business Development Professional who will lead efforts to identify, engage, and convert high-value clients for speaking engagements, experiential sessions, and advisory services.
Role Overview
This role is ideal for an experienced business development leader with a strong network and demonstrated success selling professional services, keynote speaking, or consulting. You will build a high-impact client pipeline and grow our presence with companies, universities, nonprofits, and government entities.
Key Responsibilities
· Proactively identify, research, and secure new clients, including corporations, universities, NGOs, event organizers, and government institutions.
· Create and implement business development strategies aligned with each client's needs.
· Develop tailored outreach and pitch materials to compellingly position the In the Dark and/or advisory services.
· Cultivate relationships with decision-makers (e.g., DEI leaders, HR executives, event planners, C-suite stakeholders).
· Manage sales pipelines, drive leads to conversion, and close contracts for speaking, In the Dark, and advisory engagements.
· Collaborate with internal team to coordinate scheduling, contracts, and engagement logistics.
· Attend team meetings and contribute revenue growth insights, market feedback, and strategic recommendations.
Qualifications
· Proven success (3–7+ years preferred) in Business Development, Sales, or Account Executive roles in consulting, training, leadership development, DEI, corporate services, or speaking industries.
· Strong network and ability to build relationships with executive-level decision-makers.
· Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
· Self-driven, entrepreneurial, and able to work independently in a fully remote, results-driven environment.
· Experience selling keynote speaking, consulting, DEI, leadership development, or learning & development services is highly desirable.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is a plus, not required.
