  • Assisting with filing and organizing documents.
  • Handling sensitive or confidential information with integrity.
  • Financial reporting and analysis:
  • Assisting in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements.
  • Preparing invoices and monitoring payment discrepancies.
  • Helping with bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
  • Assisting with variance analysis and gathering information for tax returns and other reports.
  • Administrative and operational support:
  • Supporting the accounting department with various day-to-day tasks.
  • Working with accounting and bookkeeping software.
  • Communicating with clients or vendors regarding payments and statements.
  • Assisting with special projects as needed.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary accounting or finance program.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A willingness to learn and take on new tasks.
