We are seeking a highly competent General Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing timely financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in managing daily accounting operations, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements within the finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and reconcile financial transactions in the general ledger
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and internal control policies
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments
  • Support tax filings, audits, and financial analysis
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation
  • Contribute to process enhancement initiatives in the finance function

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in general accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability
  • Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Skills:

  • CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification (or in progress)
  • Experience with ERP systems and automated accounting processes
  • Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Exposure to financial audits and internal control processes
