Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely recording, reporting, and analysis of financial transactions. This role supervises accounting staff, supports management in budgeting and audits, and ensures compliance with company policies and government regulations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor the work of accounting staff to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Oversee general accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements prior to management submission.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in budget preparation, cost monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and internal controls.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements for better accuracy and efficiency.
  • Support management with financial data for decision-making.
  • Perform other related tasks as may be assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is an advantage.
  • At least 3–5 years of relevant experience, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation, and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero, or similar) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • High attention to detail and integrity in handling confidential information.
