1. Inventory Accounting

  • 1.1 Acts on the request for material upload, write-off, and conversion.
  • 1.2 Checks the request for new material part numbers and inputs required field to be
  • provided by Cost Accounting.
  • 1.3 Conducts physical inventory audit on a periodic basis. Acts as Lead Auditor
  • during the conduct of the inventory audit.
  • 1.4 Acts on the variances found between SAP inventory balances and the result of
  • physical count. Checks and posts inventory result in SAP.
  • 1.5 Conducts thorough review and analysis of inventory variances
  • 1.6 Reviews inventory system and proposes relevant improvements if necessary.
  • 1.7 Coordinates with other departments in all matters related to inventory.
  • 1.8 Answers queries of external auditors pertaining to inventory.

2. Cost Accounting

  • 2.1 Prepares costing of new material application in SAP system.
  • 2.2 Gathers and updates Statistical Key Figures (SKF) during month end in
  • preparation for CO month end process.
  • 2.3 Prepares necessary cost accounting journal entries.
  • 2.4 Executes in SAP CO month end process and analyzes the result.
  • 2.5 Prepares necessary cost accounting reports as required by the internal and external
  • users in a periodic basis and/or as needed.
  • 2.6 Reviews and updates Assembly Scrap Rate, BOM and Activity Rates necessary
  • for the update of standard cost
  • 2.7 Updates Standard Cost on a regular basis or as needed
  • 2.8 Reviews existing practices and proposes process improvements as deemed
  • necessary.
  • 2.9 Answers queries of external auditors pertaining to cost accounting.

3. Budget Management

  • 3.1 Prepares PL forecast including but not limited to Monthly Forecast, Quarter
  • Rolling and Annual Masterplan for assigned business division, including the
  • required analyses.
  • 3.2 Coordinates with assigned business division's cost management team regarding
  • preparation of PL forecast.
  • 3.3 Prepares performance reports of the assigned business division periodically or as
  • required by the management.
  • 3.4 Assist in annual budget preparation. Prepares budget summary report as required
  • by Department Heads.
  • 3.5 Uploads approved budget in the OPEX Budget system.
  • 3.6 Screens purchase requisition of all departments comparing against the approved
  • budget. Coordinates with other departments regarding queries and concerns with
  • purchase requisition.
  • 3.7 Checks and monitors CAPEX and OPEX application for the assigned business
  • division.
  • 3.8 Participate in Fixed Assets Audit and other FA related activities to validate
  • correctness of forecast and actual depreciation expense.
  • 3.9 Prepares budget meeting presentation materials including necessary supporting
  • documents.
  • 3.10 Prepares analysis reports on budget and actual expenses.
  • 3.11 Reviews existing budget management system and proposes improvement as
  • deemed necessary.
  • 3.12 Answers queries of external auditors pertaining to budgeting and forecasting.

4. Financial Reporting Functions

  • 4.1 Prepares BU Profit and Loss result and analysis on the monthly basis and as
  • deemed necessary.
  • 4.2 Prepares HFM report on monthly basis including all necessary supporting data
  • and analysis and recommends submission to Headquarters.
  • 4.3 Prepares quarterly consolidation reports to Headquarters.

QUALIFICATION GUIDELINES

Minimum Education and Experience

  • College graduate major in accountancy
  • Require at least five (5) years experience in related field acquired preferably from a medium to large organization. CPA an advantage but not required

Technical Competencies

  • Knowledge in cost accounting and fixed assets functions, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement in researching and solving problems. SAP knowledge is a plus
