1. Financial Statement Preparation

  • Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement).
  • Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and corporate policies.
  • Supporting audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.

2. Reporting to Japan Headquarters and Executives

  • Preparing regular financial reports for submission to the Japanese head office.
  • Coordinating with Japan-side finance teams to align reporting formats and timelines.
  • Supporting executive-level reporting, including budget vs. actual analysis, forecasts, and variance explanations.

3. Payroll and Employee Compensation

  • Overseeing payroll processing in coordination with HR and external payroll providers.
  • Ensuring accurate computation of salaries, benefits, deductions, and statutory contributions (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).
  • Handling payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations.

4. General Accounting Operations

  • Managing accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.
  • Supporting tax filings and compliance with local regulations.

5. Team Support and Coordination

  • Assisting the Accounting Manager in supervising junior accounting staff.
  • Providing training and guidance on accounting procedures and systems.
  • Coordinating with other departments (e.g., HR, Procurement, Operations) for financial data and reporting needs.

6. System and Process Improvement

  • Participating in ERP system updates or implementations.
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and improve reporting accuracy.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles. (Manufacturing Company)
  • No experience working at a company with a union organization.
  • Experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
  • CPA holder.
  • Experience in responding to audits and filing tax returns.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Thursday (on-site) - 8am to 6pm.
  • Friday (on-site) - 8am to 5pm.
  • Saturday work (2x per month) - 8am to 12noon.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php40, Php50,000.00 per month
