Job summary:

The caretaker plays a crucial role in maintaining and preserving the physical condition and security of a property or facility. This position involves a combination of maintenance, cleaning, security,and general upkeep responsibilities to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

Property maintenance

  • Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance and repair needs.
  • Perform basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Ensure the property's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems are functioning correctly
  • Oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance, including lawn care and snow removal.

Cleaning and Housekeeping

  • Clean and sanitize common areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and removal spaces.
  • Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper waste disposal practices.
  • Perform cleaning tasks such as weeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of storage areas and utility rooms.

Security and Safety

  • Monitor the property's security systems and respond to security alarms or concerns
  • Control access to the property by maintaining key and access control systems.
  • Conduct regular security patrols, especially during non-operational hours
  • Assist in the development and implementation of safety and emergency procedures.
  • Check and monitor the in and out transactions

Repairs and Maintenance Coordination

  • Coordinate and schedule repairs and maintenance work in the external contractors wen necessary.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities activities and repairs performed
  • Report any safety hazards, damage, or incidents to the appropriate authorities or management

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with property-related regulations, codes, and standards
  • Prepare and submit regular maintenance and incident reports to management
  • Perform other related tasks as mandated by management

Qualifications:

Educational Attainment

  • At least Highschool Graduate

Skills and experience::

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in hospitality, Janitorial, Property and facilities maintenance can be beneficial.
