Our Client

Our client is a Xero Advisor Certified Practice in Australia that partners with organisations across industries, including not-for-profits. They combine strong technical knowledge with practical solutions, offering a collaborative environment where you can grow your expertise in Australian accounting.

We're looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join our client's team and provide high-quality accounting support to Australian businesses. This role requires proven experience with Australian accounting standards, compliance, and reporting. You'll work closely with clients to deliver accurate financial insights that drive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare management reports in Xero and Spotlight Reporting
  • Complete reconciliations, budgets, and workpapers to Australian standards
  • Support statutory reporting, including compliance with FBT, PAYG, GST, and other AU requirements
  • Liaise with auditors and address queries effectively
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified accountant (CA/CPA qualified or currently undertaking)
  • Proven experience in Australian accounting & compliance
  • Xero certification and hands-on expertise in the Xero Suite
  • Strong reconciliation, analytical, and reporting skills
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently

Desirable

  • Experience with Spotlight Reporting, Freshdesk, Jetpack, Dext (ReceiptBank), and Slack
  • Background in non-profit accounting
  • Cross-cultural communication skills
