Role Overview:

The Incident Responder will handle advanced threat investigations, conduct threat hunting activities, and perform deeper triage on security events. This role involves working closely with the SOC team to identify, contain, and remediate threats, leveraging scripting and automation to improve incident response efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze security alerts for potential threats or compromises.
  • Conduct threat hunting activities to proactively identify malicious behavior.
  • Perform deeper triage on escalated incidents to determine severity and scope.
  • Leverage scripting (PowerShell, Python) for automation and analysis tasks.
  • Work with endpoint detection tools (e.g., SentinelOne, CrowdStrike) to contain threats.
  • Document findings, create incident reports, and provide recommendations for prevention.

Experience & Certifications

  • Required:
  • CompTIA CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst)
  • EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • SANS GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA)
  • Bonus Skills:
  • Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting
  • Experience with endpoint detection & response (EDR) tools like SentinelOne, CrowdStrike
  • Familiarity with incident response frameworks and threat intelligence concepts
