Job Title: Accounting Associate

About the Role

This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, and maintaining ledgers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and ensure the accuracy of all financial statements.
  • Monitor and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring transactions are recorded promptly and correctly.
  • Handle accounting tasks related to collection activities such as tracking payments, commissions, remittances, and preparing related reconciliations.
  • Ensure all accounting documentation is complete, properly filed, and in line with regulatory standards and company procedures.
  • Assist in payroll preparation, employee benefits processing, and maintaining HR-related financial records.
  • Update accounting systems and generate reports for management review when required.
  • Participate in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cost assessments.
  • Work with the finance team to improve existing accounting processes and enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and remittances.
  • Perform additional finance-related tasks or special assignments as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any related discipline.
  • CPA certification is an advantage but not required.
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in Accounting.
  • Preferably with experience working in a collection agency or financial services environment.
  • Knowledge of Sprout HRIS and QuickBooks or any other platforms.
  • Solid grasp of accounting principles, financial reporting practices, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
