The Role

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant/Bookkeeper based in the Philippines to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a portfolio of 10–15 clients. You'll ensure financial accuracy, drive efficiency, and deliver exceptional service.

Note: Applicants must meet all minimum qualifications. Testing will be required to verify technical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting for multiple clients
• Perform account reconciliations and month-end processes
• Convert client files between accounting systems
• Communicate directly with clients and lead meetings
• Improve internal and client processes and systems
• Support automation and system efficiencies
• Provide weekly updates during team check-ins
• Contribute to a collaborative team culture

Minimum Qualifications

• CPA designation (PH or equivalent)
• Philippines CPA designation is specifically required
• 5+ years post-designation public practice experience
• 2+ years working with a US or Canadian accounting firm
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Proven expertise in QuickBooks Online
• Advanced/Expert level experience in Xero and QuickBooks Online is required

• Strong experience in:

• System conversions

• Account reconciliations
• Month-end entries and reviews
• Managing client portfolios
• Tech-savvy with advanced computer skills
• Able to work night shift (aligned with Canadian hours)
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability

Nice to Have

• Experience with Xero, Dext, and Hubdoc
• System improvement or automation experience
• Familiarity with other modern cloud accounting tools
