The job of Communications Officer is to manage and execute internal and external communications strategies. The ideal candidate will be a versatile writer and content creator, adept at storytelling, and experienced in managing diverse communication channels to enhance our brand visibility and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

Content Development & Production

  • Writing & Editing: Write, edit, and proofread high-quality content for a variety of platforms, including press releases, company newsletters, internal memos, speeches, annual reports, and website copy.
  • Storytelling: Identify compelling stories and messages that align with organizational goals and effectively communicate the company's mission, achievements, and values to target audiences.
  • Visual Assets: Coordinate the creation of visual content (photos, videos, infographics) to support communication initiatives.
  • PR Planning: Support the development and execution of Public Relations campaigns to launch new products, services, or initiatives.

Digital & Social Media Management

  • Strategy & Execution: Develop and manage the daily content calendar and posting schedule for all official social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).
  • Engagement: Monitor social media and online channels for mentions, industry trends, and public sentiment, and actively engage with the online community.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of [2-4] years of professional experience in a communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio demonstrating versatile content creation.
  • Proficiency in managing major social media platforms and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Basic graphic design and video editing skills (e.g., Canva, basic Adobe suite) are a plus.
