The Restaurant General Manager shall be responsible

Specific duties

  • Manage the restaurant within the policies and guidelines of the company to ensure customer satisfaction and profit maximization.
  • Total operational and financial responsibility for an individual restaurant.
  • Directly perform hands-on work on an ongoing basis to train employees, respond to customer service needs, or otherwise role model appropriate behaviors in the restaurant.
  • Provide overall leadership; recognize and motivate members of the team; coach and train the team for operation excellence.
  • General Managers are expected to work 48 hours per week including peak periods.
  • Role models sales growth mentality for management and team members.
  • Analyze sales and implements national and local store marketing initiatives on a continual basis.
  • Coach management team and staff to take specific corrective action to meet or achieve margin and sales growth targets
  • Manage in store retailing suggestive selling and other initiatives on non traditional sales.
  • Inform management and staff of marketing initiatives and activities, including updates from competition.
  • Prepares action plans where necessary to improve sales.

Qualifications

  • College or University Degree Preferred
  • 2-4 years supervisory experience in either a food service or retail environment, including Profit & Loss Responsibility
  • Basic business math and accounting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Good oral/written communication skills
  • Strong analytical / decision-making skills
  • Basic personal computer literacy.
