Job Summary

The Accounting Associate supports the accounting department with day-to-day financial transactions and record-keeping. This role ensures the accuracy of financial documents, prepares reports, and assists with audits, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions
  • Maintain and update accounting records and files
  • Generate and analyze financial reports as needed
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • No prior experience required, but internships or coursework in accounting/finance are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and MS Office applications
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with accounting principles, practices and regulatory requirements
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
