The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading the accounting department and ensuring the accurate and efficient management of an organization's financial records and operations. This role involves managing a team of accountants and collaborating with other departments to support the organization's financial goals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Reporting:

· Prepare and oversee the production of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

· Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or relevant accounting standards.

  1. Team Management:

· Lead and supervise the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

· Ensure the team's adherence to accounting best practices and standards.

  1. Internal Controls:

· Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.

· Oversee internal and external audits and facilitate audit processes.

  1. Tax Compliance:

· Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns.

· Identify tax planning opportunities to minimize the organization's tax liability.

  1. Financial Policy and Procedures:

· Develop and update financial policies and procedures to align with changing business needs and industry best practices.

· Ensure employees' understanding and adherence to these policies.

  1. Reporting and Communication:

· Present financial results and analysis to senior management and stakeholders.

· Communicate financial information effectively to non-financial personnel.

  1. Filing of BIR Form 1702Q/1702 (Quarterly/Annual Income Tax Return).

  2. Review Journal Vouchers (JVs) and attachments for the reimbursements, petty cash replenishments, liquidations, and accrual of unpaid monthly expenses prepared by the Accounts Payable Staff.

  3. Other tasks may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is required.

· Several years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with a track record of increasing responsibility.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards.

· Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.

· Excellent leadership and team management skills.

· Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.

· Familiarity with relevant accounting regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

-License as CPA is an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php40,000.00 per month
