1. Promptly inspect all ("backload") equipment returned from project sites and report any damages or issues to management immediately.
2. Monitor all vehicles and equipment leaving the company premises to ensure they are in good working condition and are roadworthy.
3. Conduct regular inspections of all fleet vehicles to verify battery status, identifying units that require charging or have missing batteries.
4. Monitor all equipment, vehicles, and other company properties for damages.
5. Immediately report any damage and initiate an investigation to determine the cause and identify those accountable.
6. Double-check mechanic requests to verify that damaged parts are truly irreparable before a purchase request is made, to prevent unnecessary expenditures.
7. Regularly monitor stock levels for real-time inventory visibility, which helps the stockroom and purchasing departments coordinate efficiently.
8. Proactively manage inventory for critical components, such as hydraulic hoses, ensuring a sufficient supply of spare parts is available for equipment before deployment.
9. Monitor that all spare parts requests for the next day are submitted to procurement by 4:00 PM.
10. Monitor the return of damaged items to the office, making sure all parts are returned within 24 hours of being dismantled. If mechanics or electricians cannot comply with a reasonable timeframe, initiate an administrative investigation.
11. When damaged items are returned, document them in inventory logs before a replacement is issued.
12. Before disposing of damaged items, inspect them to see if they can be repaired or if any parts can be recycled.
13. For urgent situations where parts need to be "i-kahoy" (salvaged) from other working units, ensure that management clearance and proper documentation are completed before any parts are removed.
14. Ensure procured replacement parts are installed immediately to restore the original unit from which parts were salvaged.
15. Ensure yard staff work their full shifts and do not leave their workstation before their scheduled off-duty time.
16. Confirm that project site equipment problems are accurately communicated from the operator to the engineering department, ensuring the correct personnel are dispatched for repairs.
17. Confirm that mechanics and electricians have all necessary tools and parts before they leave for site repairs.
18. Ensure all workers in the yard properly wear their Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during work hours.
19. Report all company policy violations to management, with a particular focus on issues related to integrity and honesty.
20. Enforce Guzent Inc.'s "no smoking" policy within company premises.
21. Monitor the yard for cleanliness and occupational safety hazards and resolve issues as they arise.
22. Act as the primary point of contact for mechanics, relaying critical information regarding parts shortages or procurement delays directly to management to ensure timely resolution.
23. Provide support to the engineering team to assist in resolving operational or personnel issues to promote a cooperative work environment among staff.
24. Perform other work-related tasks assigned by his superior.
