Job DescriptionAs a SAP Payroll Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of employee payroll. From preparing payroll to managing compliance with tax laws and regulations, you'll be an essential part of the team's success.

Your Expertise and CredentialsBachelor's degree in Accounting or a Finance-related field.5+ years of experience in international payroll processing support. Proficient in SAP payroll software — currently using it, with experience in implementation and navigation. Strong knowledge of payroll systems, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Ability to independently manage payroll processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level. Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred certification in payroll management (e.g., CPP). Strong understanding of Australian employment law, including industrial instruments (Awards and Agreements).
Proven ability to solve problems and continuously improve and review processes. Skilled in prioritizing and coordinating work while managing multiple demands. Proactive self-starter with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
Ability to work collaboratively and adapt flexibly within a team. Amenable to report onsite in Makati as required. Your Daily TasksPayroll ProcessingPrepare and process payroll for all employees on a fortnightly and monthly basis.
Ensure accuracy of all payroll transactions, including salary, overtime, bonuses, deductions, superannuation, and taxes. Update payroll records by entering changes in employee information, such as new hires, terminations, transfers, and pay rate adjustments. Payroll Processing ManagementAssist in preparing, verifying, and processing payroll data for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Manage payroll cycles, including bi-weekly, monthly, and special payroll runs (e.g., bonuses, incentives, terminations). Submit payroll-related reports and payments on time, such as tax filings, superannuation contributions, and deductions. Compliance and ReportingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to payroll, tax, and employment laws.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audits and legal requirements. Prepare end-of-year reports, including tax filings and other compliance documentation. Support audits by providing necessary payroll information and documentation.
Process Improvement and System ManagementIdentify opportunities for process improvements and implement payroll best practices to enhance efficiency and minimize errors. Collaborate with IT and other departments to optimize payroll systems and resolve technical issues. Keep payroll systems updated with the latest employee information and regulations.
Support payroll system upgrades, testing, and implementation as needed. Reporting and AnalysisGenerate and distribute payroll and other related reports for management, finance, and HR departments. Employee Support and CommunicationServe as a point of contact for payroll inquiries, resolving employee issues promptly and professionally.
Communicate updates to payroll policies, procedures, and benefits to employees and management. Other ResponsibilitiesContribute to the design, development, and implementation of HR and cross-departmental projects as needed. Assist with HR administrative tasks as required.
