About the role

Seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in Quezon City, Metro Manila. As a full-time Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our organization. This role is crucial in ensuring our employees are paid correctly and on time, contributing to the overall financial wellbeing of the company.

What you'll be doing

  • Accurately calculating and processing payroll, including regular pay, overtime, deductions, and other payroll-related adjustments
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant labor laws, government regulations, and company policies regarding payroll
  • Maintaining and updating employee payroll records, including leave balances, tax withholdings, and other payroll-related information
  • Preparing and submitting mandatory payroll reports and filings to the appropriate government agencies
  • Providing support and answering questions from employees regarding their pay, benefits, and deductions
  • Collaborating with the Accounting team to ensure the accurate reconciliation of payroll data
  • Identifying and resolving any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
  • Continuously improving payroll processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy

What we're looking for

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll officer or similar role, preferably in the accounting or finance industry
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, including applicable labor laws, government regulations, and best practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately with numerical data
  • Proficient in the use of payroll software and other relevant computer applications
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with employees and other stakeholders
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
