The Bookkeeper Assistant Staff (Reserve / Back-Up) plays a vital role in supporting the finance department through accurate recordkeeping, timely processing of financial transactions, and maintaining accounting compliance. This position serves as a dependable backup during the absence of key accounting personnel, ensuring that all financial operations, reports, and client services remain uninterrupted. The role requires precision, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple financial tasks efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business course
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial reporting
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for coordination with team members and clients
- Must be dependable, adaptable, and capable of working under minimal supervision
- Willing to provide back-up support and perform tasks beyond routine assignments when needed
