Purpose of the Role

The Business Development/Sales Specialist is responsible for generating new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospects, and supporting overall sales activities. This role includes outbound calling, lead nurturing, scheduling meetings, and assisting with basic marketing tasks to increase visibility and drive conversions.

The role is suited for someone confident, results-driven, and motivated by targets, with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple sales activities simultaneously.


Key Responsibilities
Sales & Lead Generation
  • Conduct outbound calls to prospective clients to generate interest and qualify leads.
  • Schedule meetings and follow-up calls for the client or sales team.
  • Manage lead lists, update CRM records, and ensure accurate tracking of all interactions.
  • Support preparation of sales proposals, presentations, and client materials.
Business Development
  • Identify new opportunities through research, outreach, and relationship-building.
  • Maintain regular communication with prospects and nurture leads through the sales pipeline.
  • Assist with market insights to help refine strategies and target potential clients.
Client Engagement
  • Maintain a professional and engaging communication style across calls, emails, and messages.
  • Build rapport with prospects and support the development of long-term relationships.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries and direct them appropriately.
Marketing Support (as needed)
  • Assist with creating simple social media posts or marketing content supporting sales campaigns.
  • Help coordinate marketing initiatives aligned with business development activities.
  • Provide feedback on marketing materials based on client and prospect interactions.
Administration & Coordination
  • Manage calendars and schedule appointments efficiently.
  • Maintain organised records of leads, follow-ups, and sales activities.
  • Support general administrative tasks required for effective sales operations.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
  • Experience in sales, business development, telemarketing, or similar roles.
  • Proven ability to conduct outbound calls and schedule meetings.
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills.
  • Good computer proficiency, including CRM and office software.
Desirable
  • Experience in B2B sales or service-based industries.
  • Exposure to marketing or social media support tasks.
  • Background in lead generation or customer acquisition strategies.
