Role Purpose

The Customer Service Officer's purpose is:

  • To assist customers across all aspects of their dealings with the company to a high standard, ensuring a smooth process for the customer.
  • Responsibilities will include customer communications, account queries, sales & product support and administration, with the benefit of working in a close team.
  • The role will be fast paced and will require exceptional skills in being highly organised, detail oriented and able to manage multiple activities simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Customer Sales Orders – process non-electronic Data Interchange customer orders within agreed processing times. Release EDI orders and deal with non-compliance issues. Effectively manage back orders and other order administrative requirements.
  • Sales Support –preparation of customer product submissions; customer PowerPoint presentations, ensure customer ranging sheets are up to date, maintain product images and copy in a range of customer documents, and any other administrative requirements.
  • Customer Accounts Management –manage customer ledgers, allocate payments, investigate and process claims, follow up overdue invoices, respond to customer queries promptly & professionally, and other customer account administrative requirements.
  • Telephones – Provide a first-class service in answering and redirecting phone calls professionally and promptly between 8 am and 5 pm Brisbane time.
  • Product Support – handle and respond to consumer or customer product enquiries or complaints within agreed guidelines or escalate as appropriate.
  • New Customer Projects – support the sales team in following up with the Product Delivery Team on the status of new projects or new products.
  • General Administration – support the sales team with various sales-related administrative requirements, presentations, and research activities as required.
  • Any other tasks as required.
