Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Business/Product teams to understand the end-to-end business process during requirements gathering.
  • Assist the Product Owner by adding detail, including technical requirements, to user stories.
  • Ensure user stories have clear acceptance criteria.
  • Clarify and detail requirements with guidance from the Product Owner, UX Designer, and architects.
  • Create well-articulated user stories in Azure DevOps for the Scrum team.
  • Ensure the product backlog has enough sufficiently detailed stories for upcoming sprints, working with the Product Owner and Tech BA team.
  • Create technical artifacts such as flow diagrams and UI mock-ups. * Act as a liaison between the Scrum team and external stakeholders, including business analysts (in Europe), Architects, and SMEs.
  • Work with Agile Build/Dev teams and third-party technical teams for creating, testing, and validating integration requirements.
  • Participate in the distributed Scrum team's ceremonies: Sprint planning, daily standups, sprint review, and retrospectives.
  • Work with the Business PM and/or delivery lead to create a cadence of delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science or information technology.
  • 8+ years proven IT experience.
  • 5+ years working in Agile Scrum.
  • 5+ years writing requirements.
  • 3+ years writing user stories for Scrum.
  • 3+ years working with a business Product Manager.
  • Previous Analyst and/or development experience.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience within a Scrum team.
  • Experience using Azure Dev Ops or Jira for managing software development.
  • Good written and oral English communication.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence.
  • Evidence of being a successful influencer across different teams and cultures.
  • Knowledge of Relational Data Bases, specifically Transact SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Use of wireframing tools such as Balsamiq and/or Figma is des.
  • Experience of working on general insurance risk related problems is desirable.
  • Experience within Insurance broking is a distinct advantage
