We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Supervisor – Tax to join our team. The role is responsible for overseeing all tax-related functions of the company, including compliance with government requirements, managing BIR audits and correspondence, and ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns. The position also supervises accounting operations, supports financial reporting, and ensures adherence to internal controls and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage tax compliance activities, including BIR audits, assessments, and official correspondence.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing and payment of taxes through Electronic Filing and Payment System (eFPS).
  • Oversee the submission of reports via Electronic Audited Financial Statements (eAFS).
  • Review and reconcile tax returns, schedules, and supporting documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to the accounting team in resolving tax issues and implementing tax regulations.
  • Maintain strong coordination with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
  • Handle general accounting tasks including reconciliation, financial analysis, and reporting.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
  • Prepare and review management reports, schedules, and financial statements as required.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls within the accounting and tax processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or a related field.
  • CPA license is an advantage.
  • Proven experience in taxation, BIR audits, and government compliance.
  • Strong background in general accounting; experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Familiarity with eAFS and eFPS systems.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
