Job Description – HR Specialist (Service Industry)
Position Title: Human Resources Specialist
Department: Human Resources Department
Reports To: HR Manager / HR Supervisor
Location: Makati City / Onsite
I. Position Overview
The HR Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting various human resources functions, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, and performance management. The role ensures that all positions are filled promptly with qualified personnel, supports smooth team operations, and promotes a positive and service-oriented company culture.
II. Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Staffing
Develop and implement recruitment plans based on departmental manpower needs.
- Post job advertisements, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
- Coordinate interview feedback, manage offer and onboarding processes.
- Maintain and evaluate recruitment channels, and build a talent pool.
Ensure timely and quality recruitment, especially for frontline positions.
Employee Relations and Discipline Management
Handle employee onboarding, confirmation, transfer, and separation procedures.
- Manage labor contracts, renewals, and personnel file documentation.
- Monitor employee attendance, leave, and compliance with company policies.
- Assist in handling employee complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
Organize employee engagement activities to strengthen teamwork and service awareness.
Training and Development
Assist in developing and conducting new employee orientation programs.
- Organize training sessions on service etiquette, communication, and teamwork.
- Track and evaluate training effectiveness, and propose improvement plans.
Maintain training records and support employee career development initiatives.
Compensation and Attendance Management
Collect and verify monthly attendance data.
- Assist in payroll preparation, benefits administration, and government contributions.
Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of HR data and employee information.
Performance and Administrative Support
Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems and collecting performance data.
- Support HR data analysis and prepare monthly HR reports.
- Provide administrative and HR support as assigned by management.
III. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or above in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of HR or administrative experience, preferably in the service industry.
Knowledge of recruitment processes and labor laws.
Strong communication, coordination, and execution skills.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Have working experience of manufacturing industry.
Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
Possesses strong service awareness and a positive work attitude.
