Chief Information Security Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the development and execution of a comprehensive information security strategy for a rapidly growing global organization in the professional services and offshoring industry.

This is a newly created and strategic leadership position, reporting directly to the CEO, with the mandate to design, build, and implement security frameworks and governance models that protect data, systems, and client information across multiple geographies.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen, ensuring that security and technology are embedded as business enablers and client value propositions.

Key Responsibilities

Information Security Leadership

• Develop, implement, and maintain a global information security strategy aligned with business goals and client requirements.
• Define security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
• Establish governance frameworks to manage and monitor enterprise risk, data privacy, and cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity Management

• Lead cybersecurity initiatives to protect the organization from threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
• Direct incident response and recovery processes, including root cause analysis and stakeholder communication.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with data protection laws and international standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and HIPAA.
• Manage audits and certification processes to maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
• Oversee third-party risk assessments and vendor security evaluations.

Technology and Infrastructure Oversight

• Partner with IT leadership to align infrastructure strategy with security requirements and scalability goals.
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Drive optimization of IT resources while maintaining high availability and performance standards.

Client Engagement and Business Enablement

• Collaborate with clients to understand their security and compliance requirements.
• Position information security as a differentiator and value-add in client relationships.
• Support the development of new IT-related revenue streams, such as managed services and compliance offerings.

Team Leadership

• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT and information security team.
• Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Deliver training programs and awareness initiatives to strengthen the company's security posture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's or MBA preferred).
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT, cybersecurity, or information security management, with 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in building and implementing enterprise-wide information security programs.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, data protection frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience in BPO, shared services, IT managed services, or global outsourcing environments is highly preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer are advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
